Project: Bringelly Public School.
Job: Design & Construct a stormwater retention system to irrigate the playing fields.
Purpose: To collect and harvest stormwater runoff from buildings and existing in ground stormwater system, reuse this water to irrigate the Sporting ovals via an irrigation system.
Scope of Works:
-Supply & Install a 100000Litre Concrete in ground Retention system.
Including:
-All excavation works.
-Supply & Install tank.
-Backfill & compaction of excavated areas.
-Removal of 600 tonne of soil from site.
-installation of pump system.
-Connection of Electrical supply to pump.
-Installation of pipe for Irrigation system.
-Redirection of existing stormwater lines via new pipe installation.
-Liaison with school staff, 200 students, Public Works & Department of Education.
Time Duration: 7 weeks.
Result: This school now boasts lush green grass and a student garden rich in colour & life due to an endless supply of water from their new retention system.
